Many police station enquiry offices closed before I took office. I pledged upon election in May 2016 that I would review police station front desk closures. I have kept my promise and the following police stations have now been reopened Mon-Sat 10am-3pm:
While we are one of the lowest crime rate areas in the country and recorded anti-social behaviour has never been so low, every survey I do and people I speak to this is one of the biggest issues raised with me. So I know policing and local authorities have not got it right yet.
Over the past 30 years we have seen a dramatic reduction in the number of people killed or seriously injured on our roads but... over the last 10 years it has flatlined. We cannot seem to reduce it further.
